Playing online games are a great way to pass the time but I’ve always been a believer that if you can kill 2 birds with one stone then you probably should. While in this case I am not trying to take down any of our feathered friends, I have figured out a way to keep myself from being bored while also getting smarter at the same time. Over here at Shockwave, we have a plethora of brain games that are great for working out your memory, your vocabulary and your brain in general. With that being said, this Sunday is also the birthday of the late Albert Einstein, a man whose name and persona have been synonymous with genius for some time now. It would only make sense to play some brain games for Albert so for this episode of “What We’re Playing”, get ready to play games that will keep your gears turning and your brain learning.

One thing that people don’t tend to like about brain games is that sometimes they can be a little tricky. The ideal game is one that grows with your progress. As soon as you begin to understand how it works and how to succeed at it, new gaming challenges keep you on your toes. Bloxors is a great example of a game that won’t get you down too much at the beginning but as you play it will surely test your brain’s ability to make quick decisions.

Looking for something a bit more wordy? Crosswords, Word Round Up Challenge , and Super Word Scrapers are all perfect titles for the gamer looking to build up his or her vocabulary. Another great thing about these games is that they offer new puzzles daily, giving your brain something new to work with every day. These daily plays are a great way to mix up your brain work out and keep you interested in what you’re doing. Before you know it, they become part of your every day routine.

If you’re more of a numbers kind of gamer then have no fear, Shockwave is here for all the number junkies. With games like Hidato Daily Adventure, Kakuro, and Sudoku, you’ll be crunching numbers and looking for patterns right away. Numbers are not my cup of tea but I have noticed that with some practice, even I have gotten pretty good at these. In the end, it’s all worth the time I put in because I know its giving my frontal lobe a proper work out as well.

We have problem solvers too! Icebreaker Red Clan, and Power Up, will test your critical thinking skills to their limits. You’ll have to use your environments in these games to come out on top.

Regardless of which games you chose to play, you can never go wrong with challenging your mind. If you are looking for games that gives back, then Shockwave will always have you covered. Remember to have patience with these games and that they are supposed to be fun! The more fun you have with them, the more you are sure to learn. Everyone loves celeb moms and we think we have a pretty fab one here! This actress has been very busy over the last few years. Somehow she has managed to star in both TV and film projects, while also marrying one of the biggest actors in Hollywood and starting a family. Let’s just say that besides being hot and talented, she would probably rock at our time management games.

While she may not be known as a crazy party girl or Beverly Hills drama queen, she truly is living the fab life. I’m sure you will agree with me after you see the photo tomorrow.

Grandpa Clumsy has been up to his old tricks again, time traveling and changing history! Back to the stone age we go.  By bringing back a butterfly from prehistoric times Grandpa inadvertently changed our modern day to the stone age. Helen needs to take matters into her own hands and rediscover all of civilizations greatest discoveries that never happened while Grandpa stays back home working at reviving our little winged friend.

Virtual Villagers 4: The Tree of Life will be coming to Shockwave, but we don’t have a release date just yet.  As soon as there’s any update on this game we’ll be sure to let you know!  We’re so glad you guys are as excited about our upcoming games as we are!  You can expect to see some great games coming up like Farm Frenzy 3: Ice Age, Super Granny 5, Heartwild Solitaire 2, and we’ll try to get some more Nancy Drew games!  We’re also working on getting you games like Cute Knight and Strimko, so sit tight and we’ll let you know when we have some more good news for you!
